Blue Mist Road | North Park, Pittsburgh, PA

Nature Walk & Ghost Hunting

On Friday, Morgan and I walked the Blue Mist Trail in North Park! The Blue Mist Trail has some notability in the North of Pittsburgh due to it’s reputation for being haunted. There are several stories and lore surrounding this road, including a murder, KKK activity, a witch, and more. Unfortunately, none of these legends are proven to be true, but Morg and I suited up with his ghost hunting equipment to check it out! If paranormal stuff isn’t your thing, no worries! Just play along and be a good sport hahaha 🙌🏼

The trail is divided up into various sections; the first section we walked on with a road, Irwin Rd., that is blocked off to vehicles. It’s definitely meant to discourage people from exploring and trespassing on the road’s resident’s property. The second half of the trail is a bit of a gravel/dirt road. Throughout the whole walk, we didn’t find that there was much paranormal activity. Nevertheless, it was a great form of exercise and got us outside! As always, if you find yourself exploring on this trail, be sure to take pictures and share! 📸
